“When Zynga was pricing its offering last week and getting ready to start trading...”
– If you want to read an assessment unlike the “IPO bubble to pop/replicate the dotcom” theories out there (albeit not without bias, as Fred has holdings in Zynga)… make sure to read his full post here.

Most Popular* →
parislemon: *based on things other than popularity Yesterday, Facebook made waves by revealing that a game called Gardens of Time was the “most popular” game on their platform in 2011. The only problem? It’s total bullshit. Only after Josh Constine called them out, did Facebook highlight the fact that “most popular” didn’t actually have much to do with number of people actually playing the...

Eric: today I was in line waiting to get a sub, then suddenly this woman stands in line (and I don't know what provoked this) but out of nowhere she just starts shouting at the subway workers "BITCH I GUNNA CUT YOU BITCH I'LL FUCK YOU UP" then all the employees started yelling back at her... and I was awkwardly stuck in the middle of this verbal fire
Me: Not only do you live near cadavers but you nearly got killed in a sandwich shop! I could walk around all night but I'll probably just run into ducks.
Eric also sent me the zipskinny website, from which we discovered his zip code.. 75% people below poverty line and annual income is 7K. I dropped all my complaints I had queued up for him in a hot second.

–  Drake, Motto  I hear this song at least 3 times during my commute to work (Drake is coming to the bay in a week or so, so the radio stations are hyped about it). It’s a good, young song for the most part, though listening a bit carefully to the lyrics got me thinking this evening. Time...

– Bikram Yoga Is Taking a New York Yogi to Court Man, I never knew the history behind Bikram yoga - always thought it was just another variation on traditional methods from the subcontinent.  And I like Yoga to the People’s classes - seems wrong somehow for something like yoga to be copyrighted…  ...

alexainslie: “…Beyond the immediate implications — hospitals around the world should get their hands on C-Path ASAP — the Stanford researchers are excited about what this means for the analysis and understanding of cancer in general. “Through machine learning, we are coming to think of cancer more holistically, as a complex system rather than as a bunch of bad cells in a tumor,” says Matt van de...
